Hot stone massage is undertaken with smooth volcanic rocks. This technique has been used throughout Thailand for thousands of years, and is both relaxing and healing.
The stones are heated to a specific temperature and then placed on precise points of the body such as neck, shoulders, hips and hands while other stones/hands are used in combination with warm oil to massage those aches and sore muscles away.
In Thailand, hot stone massage is used to treat aches and pains, stiffness, tension and poor circulation. By opening blood vessels and encouraging blood flow, it also helps stimulate and enhance the function of organs throughout the body.
